Oatmeal apple-banana cake

Havermout appel-banaan cake

  • 400 g oatmeal
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp coconut palm sugar
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 3 scoops Whey protein powder
  • 1 banana
  • 2 small apples
  • 150 g naturel nuts
  • 4 tbsp pumpkin or sunflower seeds


  • Preheat oven on 200 degrees. Whisk the eggs in a large bowl.
  • Fill up a shaker with 600 ml water, add protein powder and shake well for about 30 seconds.
  • Add coconut palm sugar, cinnamon, oatmeal and the protein mixture.  Mix well.
  • Rinse apples and cut in small pieces. Slice up the banana. Add apple to the mixture, keep banana aside.
  • Add a layer of the mixture to a cake pan (or use 12 muffin cups) and work layer by layer: banana, mixture, nuts, mixture, seeds, mixture.
  • Cook the cake for 40-45 minutes and the muffins for 20-24 minutes in the oven.
  • When the cake is ready let it cool down by removing the pan. 
  • Cut the cake in pieces and keep them in aluminum foil in the fridge or freezer.
